A commission for Project Seagrass and Heriott Watt University partly funded by Highland Park distillery. I was the expedition photographer & videographer on board the scientific diving expedition. We spent a week exploring remote Seagrass meadows around the Orkney islands, recording the wildlife we found and carrying out scientific fieldwork throughout the week. The scientists were collecting sediment cores from the seabed to analyse for blue carbon stores and as well as conducting biodiversity surveys of epifauna and fish life to generate evidence of the ecosystem services and climate solutions that Seagrass provides for our planet.
Dr Richard Lilley and I co-wrote a magazine article on this expedition that was published by 6 different publications including Oceanographic, Geographical, DIVE, Plongez, Scuba diver & the Orkney herald.
